Halloween

“Double, double, toil and trouble; Fire burn, and cauldron bubble!” – William Shakespeare, Macbeth.

Yes, as it is the 1st of October, it was only right to kick off the month with a spooky article/guide to help you prepare, of course! Are you a secret Artist who wants to go all out this Halloween rather than going for the usual skeleton face? (Sorry if we just crashed on your look *side eye*) – We have put together a list of Instagram influencers who have created some amazing looks and who have inspired us at ITP Live to gather our makeup brushes (even our paint brushes!) and to start mixing and matching different colours and coming up with a bunch of hocus pocus designs!

1. Anais

Okay, we did say you can try to recreate or be inspired by these looks! If you’re up to the job then how amazing is this water work on Anais? She has cleverly added elements of detailed brush strokes with white and sky blue taking the design to the next level. This is a great look if you would like to experiment with something new but still look elegant and… well… fresh!

2. Halloween Queen

Would it be a Halloween without adding the Halloween Queen to our list? Although she’s been MIA for a while, the Halloween Queen has a portfolio of unbelievable, eye-catching looks. This really is “outside the book” looks and it’s so good, we had to give you two to choose from. A dollop of melting ice cream for those celebrating in the UAE, and a mixed Halloween/Christmas advent calendar look – trick or treat?

3. The Trash Mask

There is something quite airy about this look that makes you feel like you’re breathing in cold and crispy air. The Trash Mask shows us a great example of how to finish the look with every detail and be the character. Her accuracy with the makeup and final touches with the hair and bats has a beautiful finish as well as an interesting choice of contrasting colours. Who would have thought blue, black yellow, orange, and white all go well together?

4. Chay Chay

Chay Chay really knows how to become a character with the looks she has been creating. Uploaded this week, Chay has blended face art with body art creating a pop art makeup look on her face. It’s amazing to see how you can become a completely different person just with a splash of colour and a wig!

5. Sydney Purl

Although we said skeleton faces are a bore, Sydney shows just how you can turn the typical look into something a little more visionary. It may look simple, but that black hue has not quickly been applied, but it’s been shaded into the face. That’s what makes an artist, knowing how to work the colours and makeup to suit the face and make it that little bit more unique. Also, the jewels are obviously striking and add glamour to the look.

6. Crystal Bruises

Why not create a look that matches your horoscope? Crystal Bruises has created a wonderful and unique look with black, gold, and white colours to match her Libra star sign. It’s a clever concept and one that Anais also took inspiration from when creating her water look for Pisces. Her attention to detail is so good that we have added two images including a Jurassic Park-inspired makeup (skeleton…oops) look.

7. Christina Alexandra

As Hocus Pocus 2 has just been released on Disney, we had to include Christina Alexandra’s recreation of Billy Butcherson! Many people have created the Sanderson Sisters look from the movie and we are absolutely loving it. The first film aired in 1997 and now, 25 years later, the sisters have come alive after someone lit the black flame candle…

8. Jaime Coburn

I know you’re rolling your eyes as I have added another skeleton face, but it’s too late for me to scroll back up and change the narrative so here we go. But how awesome does Jaime Coburn make the skeleton look?! For influencers reading this article, we though the 3D computer design was perfect to add to the list, but Jaime has also put together some fantastic looks! Make sure to go onto his profile and check them all out.

9. Sanna Partanen

I think after looking at the top 10 list, you will need to pop to the shop and grab some colour as you’ll be needing more than one palette. Sanna will confirm that point as you look at her design below. The best thing about art is that you can perceive the look however you want it to be. Sanna for instance has created such a breathtaking look that with or without knowing what it is, you are stunned by the overall look.

10. KimChi Chic Beauty: look by Voltoio

If you like colourful feeds, then don’t decide on your look before checking out KimChi’s profile. The Halloween makeup design created by Voltoio and shared by KimChi has a beautiful blend of green and yellow shades. Doesn’t it make you just want to get into the screen and touch it? No? Just me then!
