Coldplay’s “Moon Music” Album Pre-Listening Event Shines Bright in the Dubai Desert

This exclusive gathering brought together super fans who were selected through a special pre-save campaign launched by the band on their Instagram.

Warner Music MENA, in collaboration with Spotify, hosted an unforgettable pre-listening event for Coldplay’s upcoming album, “Moon Music,” at the enchanting Nara Desert Escape.

The event featured a unique silent disco experience, allowing fans to immerse themselves in the entire album while gazing at the stars. The serene atmosphere was enhanced by the gentle glow of candles and soft ambient lighting, creating a soulful backdrop to go with the theme of Coldplay’s latest album.

Attendees were treated to exclusive merchandise, including a tote bag, a poster of the album artwork, and stickers inspired by Chris Martin’s notebook from the album’s creation. This special merch was available only to fans who participated in the pre-save campaign, making the experience even more memorable.

After listening to “Moon Music,” guests enjoyed a delightful selection of food and beverages, followed by a second listening session of the album, deepening their connection to the music they cherish.

Fans expressed their heartfelt sentiments about the event. One attendee shared, “I couldn’t have imagined being here today. I’ve been a fan since I was 10 years old. My older sister, who has been a super fan for the longest time, used to drive us to school while playing Coldplay in the car. That’s when I didn’t even know what Coldplay was; music was a new discovery, and I fell in love with them ever since. I feel beyond lucky to be part of this event and to listen to the album before its release.”

“It’s truly heartwarming to witness the incredible connection between Coldplay and their fans. This event embodies the magic of music and how it brings people together. We are proud to create unforgettable experiences like this that celebrate the artistry of such a legendary band.”

Ahmed Nureni, Managing Director of Warner Music MENA

Commenting on the collaboration, Spotify’s Head of Music for MENA, Mark Abou Jaoude, said, “Creating meaningful connections between artists and fans on a deeper level is at the heart of what we do. Coldplay’s ‘Moon Music’ pre-listening showcase demonstrates the power of music as a shared experience, uniting fans through their love for the iconic band. From exclusive campaigns to immersive under-the stars moments, we are constantly working on new ways to bring fans closer to the artists they love.”

The evening was a resounding success, as it not only celebrated Coldplay’s artistry but also fostered a deep sense of community among fans who share a profound love for the band’s music.

Coldplay’s highly anticipated tenth album, Moon Music has landed in stores and on streaming services today. The album can be purchased / downloaded / streamed here.

Moon Music, which was produced by Max Martin, contains August’s iTunes chart-topping single WE PRAY – with Little Simz, Burna Boy, Elyanna & TINI – and June’s double MTV VMAs-nominated single feelslikeimfallinginlove, which reached Number 1 on both the UK’s airplay chart and the Official Big Top 40. A third single, All My Love, is released alongside the album, with a video filmed at a Las Vegas karaoke bar premiering later today.

Chris Martin recently posted a video offering some insight into the album, saying: “I think what this album is about is a response to struggling with all the conflict within oneself, within myself, and also, all the conflict outside, and working out what the best response is. And I think what Moon Music is trying to say is maybe love is the best response.”

Moon Music is Coldplay’s first album since 2021’s Music Of The Spheres, which spawned the US Number One single with BTS, My Universe, and was nominated for Album of the Year at the Grammy Awards. Music Of The Spheres has accumulated more than four billion streams.
