Egyptian authorities have been cracking down on female social media influencers for alleged “debauchery” in recent months.

In April, another Egyptian Influencer Haneen Hossam was arrested for ‘debauchery’ as well after she shared a video on her social media platforms encouraging youngsters to earn money through online content.

On Thursday, Eladhm was arrested while still in a car, and a mobile phone and a laptop which she had in her possession were all seized. The phone reportedly had no SIM card and was connected to a wireless device which was connected to the internet.
