The new Kylie Jenner collection has delivered exactly what it promised it would! While the Doja Cat’s song had us feeling like we rule the world, the newest collection of Kylie Cosmetics will have us looking like it too…

Mega influencer, Kylie Jenner and momager Kris Jenner just had their box reveal for their second collaboration that features a follow-up to the first Kylie Cosmetics “Momager” collection. And we have to admit, we’re here for it!

Here’s all we know so far; Kylie teased her millions of fans initially on TikTok with a teaser showing the due making Kris’s iconic martinis as seen multiple times on The Kardashians’ HULU series.

Shaken not stirred and dripping in diamonds, they served BIG BOSS vibes in the first teaser video released on Kylie’s TikTok account, where the video received over 9.2M views. A follow-up video giving a detailed description of the products inside the box has received over 737.5K views, 432 shares, 135.5K likes, and 1276 comments just within 3 hours of its post! That’s some mega-influential reach.

Kris Collection 2 can be seen as a more sophisticated take on the first Momager collab launched by Kylie Cosmetics. Since its launch back in 2018, the mega influencer, Kylie Jenner became a mother herself to 4-year-old Stormi and a baby boy with rapper Travis Scott. As a homage to motherhood and stepping into a more mature phase of her life, the Kris Collection 2 pays tribute to the important aspect Kris Jenner plays in Kylie’s coming-of-age journey.

The collection can be seen as fresh and funky in its tone of voice, strong graphics, and iconic product naming but carries on the Kylie Cosmetics brand’s Gen Z brand identity. Only this time with a more sophisticated and timeless finishing.

What truly elevates this collection from Kylie’s previous launches is the fact that she is incorporating skin-care items within the makeup collection. This elegantly bridges the young entrepreneur’s skin-care line Kylie Skin with Kylie Cosmetics, to provide the best of both worlds for makeup lovers and skin-care enthusiasts. It can also be seen as a take to combine Kylie’s younger audience with elder consumers. A very smart move to have her followers grow up with her and do subtle brand marketing for her other companies! (We’re pretty sure this was Kris’s idea…)

Why do the reveal on TikTok and not Kylie’s preferred platform Instagram?

One question we’ve all been asking is why the influencer decided to launch the box reveal on TikTok rather than on her most followed and preferred Instagram profile. Kylie has 368 million followers on Instagram and only 46.9 million on TikTok. A whopping 321 million users of a difference less, which doesn’t make sense to market the products on a platform where the influencer has a smaller reach.

Even though Kylie Jenner reposted the videos onto her Instagram story with her tagged TikTok profile’s username, we can’t help but think she is trying to send her Instagram followers to TikTok to grow her other social media platform’s presence. It might also be that her influential followers prefer to view their content on TikTok, as it is the fastest and most preferred social platform for Gen Z users.

Outspoken about her thoughts to “make Instagram, Instagram again”, Kylie and sister Kim Kardashian both complained that the platform is positioning itself to have their reels better compete with user’s engagement on TikTok. Contrary to her statements, the beauty icon sure seems to love the features of Tiktok.

Who knows, maybe TikTok will be Kylie’s next go-to social media platform…
