Filmmaker and a very close friend of superstar Shahrukh Khan received a lot of flak for liking a tweet containing a negative message towards the actor.

Whoops! KJO received flak for liking an anti-SRK tweet. The filmmaker said to be having ‘technical problem’

Some of SRK’s livid fans tweeted some rather hostile tweets.

‘SRK faced criticism because of his friendship with Karan Johar. He was always there when he needed someone to stand for him. Supported him in every point of life. But Snake @karanjohar liked a tweet which mentioned SRK as Gay. #ShameOnKaranJohar,” a user wrote.

Another angry fan tweeted, “An open enemy is better than a false friend. Be aware.., He is a SNAKE @karanjohar #ShameOnKaranJohar” “Megastar @iamsrk always considered @karanjohar his younger brother. That’s not how you treat your elder brother @karanjohar. And faking it for the paparazzi isn’t going to do you any good. #ShameOnKaranJohar,” read another tweet.

However Karan who is usually known to be highly vocal and expressive towards his affection towards SRK, issued an apology once #ShameOnKaranJohar started to do the rounds and became highly trending on the microblogging site.

Karan then took to Twitter and wrote a status which stated ‘Guys having a technical problem with my Twitter account. Strange things are going on. From uploading shoe picture and gibberish to liking tweets I haven’t even read and would NEVER even acknowledge.’

The actor unlike his die hard crazy fans, had a rather witty and light hearted response to the whole controversy.

SRK’s amusing retort was, “Karan Johar is technologically challenged but has other good qualities like his taste in clothes! Just like life, Twitter does not come with instructions, so mistakes are natural…. and also he has fat fingers. Go easy all, Make Love not War… It’s more fun,” SRK tweeted. During the day, many of the actor’s fans had expressed their anger on Twitter.

It’s good to see how fandom comes secondary to this publicly recognised and famous friendship.

On another note, Karan has just released a book for children ‘The Big Thoughts of Little Luv’ inspired by his twins Roohi and Yash where he shares his experience of parenthood in this new chapter in his life. Coincidentally he has found a reader in Shah Rukh and Gauri Khans son, AbRam.
