What to expect from the iPhone 15
Apple will continue the iPhone flagship lineup this year, introducing the iPhone 15, Plus, Pro, and Pro Max. As with the iPhone 14 Pro models, the higher-end iPhone Pro models for the 15 will have special features not available in other models.
The latest iPhone model will have notably thinner, curved bezels and a new titanium material to replace the stainless steel chassis. Additionally, due to the new European Union law which requires all devices to use a universal charging port, Apple will also be replacing the Apple Lightning connector with USB-C charging ports in the new iPhones.
The current mute switch will be replaced by the action button, and it will be able to do more than just mute the iPhone. Rumors suggest that users will be able to set multiple functions, such as turning on the flashlight or activating shortcuts with the help of the action button.
Pro Models are likely to benefit from an all-new A17 Bionic chip, continuing the differentiation between Pro and non-Pro models. The Pro Max model will have a new periscope zoom camera, which is expected to have double the 3x optical zoom of the iPhone 14 Pro Max.
Apple iPhone 15 release date
It was rumored last month that the release of the latest iPhone models will be postponed to October. However, this will not be the case. Keeping on the schedule as predicted by Mark Gurman, Chief Technology Correspondent for Bloomberg, the Apple iPhone Event will be held on the 12th of September.
After the Apple Event of this year, pre-orders will be available worldwide by Friday, the 15th of September. In-store purchases can be made on September 22nd.
How much will it cost?
It is rumored that Apple will be increasing the prices of the Pro and the Pro Max by around Dhs360 and Dhs730 respectively.
Here are the (unofficial) prices of the new iPhone models:
- iPhone 15: from Dhs2,937
- iPhone 15 Plus: from Dhs3,300
- iPhone 15 Pro: from Dhs4,035
- iPhone 15 Pro Max: from Dhs4,770
As done in the past, you can even trade in your current or old iPhone to save money on your next one. The exact amount can be calculated at any Apple store in the UAE, or for an estimate, you can go online to the official Apple website.
