Facebook Has Updated in Their Data Management Section

While you go about your business browsing online, some of the websites you visit send information they gather about you to Facebook.

This is why you tend to receive ads that hit the nail right on the head. Sometimes, it feels like you are being watched.

For a long time, users haven’t had much control over how their personal information is used online. But on Facebook’s platform, this is changing.

We’ve been waiting for quite some time, but finally it’s here…

When it comes to your personal data, you should call the shots. Thus, Facebook is taking the necessary steps to make sure you do just that. They are giving you back the power to decide how your data is used.

In recent times, users have voiced out their concerns. They are demanding more control over how their data is used and why their activities are being traced.

Although they have finally started to deliver on their promise, the platform admitted they have had some trouble making it a reality, since they first announced it during the F8 Conference in 2018.

According to Social media today…”catering to that request within Facebook’s systems, which have been built on tracking personal data and insights for ad purposes, has proven to be a significant challenge.”

As we can see, a lot of hard work went into meeting users demands.

With the ‘clear history’ tool already launched in Ireland, Spain and South Korea, It shouldn’t be too long before we all have access to the new data management update.
