Scrolling on Instagram, saving #OOTD posts, sharing pieces we like via DM with our friends… fashionistas love a good fashion account and coming across them within their feed.
But if there’s anything we love more than stalking a fashion influencer’s feed it’s fashion duo on the ‘gram.
Whether it’s #couplegoals within a Story or coming across an account that makes you want to co-ordinate outfits with your best friend, there certainly is something iconic about fashion duos.
From Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss to Mary-Kate and Ashley (and even Justin Timberlake and Britney – double denim reigns supreme!) our obsession even falls back to duo’s when one was “behind the scenes” and the other the muse: think Hubert Givenchy and Audrey Hepburn to Jean Paul Gaultier and Madonna.
From the red carpet to street style, there seems to be something magical we love about having two identities side-by-side, be that co-ordinated or colour clashing.
Here are five Instagram accounts you should be following, if you’re up for a double dose of fashion inspiration.
Sarah Ellis and Philippa Bloom (@wearetwinset)
These two stylists are best friends and both work in the London fashion industry, Sarah and Philippa combine high street and high end pieces into a wearable aesthetic, that has us saving their posts on the daily.
Simplicity is their key; floaty dresses or trousers and tee, their outfits are all easily recreated and are styled for comfort too. Their individual accounts are just as chic, but with more of a personal touch.
The Dadon Sisters (@howtwolive)
These Aussie sisters are as smart as they are stylish and are also the founders of @TWOOB, a shoe brand which showcased at NYFW, which designs are just as bright and bold as their own outfits.
Their outfits will have you scrolling endlessly through their feed, makes you wish you had a twin (if you don’t have one that is) to recreate some of their clashing combos. Not only this but they are on a mission to create a powerful inspiring community, have launched a grant program for start-up businesses. Talk about serious #goals on so many levels.
Jo and Kemp (@joandkemp)
These childhood sweethearts have become a husband and wife tandem.
With a love of travel and capturing their life moments, this couples feed is so visually aesthetic. Pastel presets combined with outfit, travel and couple shots is clearly an equation that works. Their love for life is contagious; if you’re married, you’ll likely be trying to convince your other half to create something similar.
Their style rarely enters into the darker palette, preferring bright colour and neutrals, occasionally clashing, but mainly co-ordinating this duo is #goals.
Corianna and Brianna Dotson (@cocoandbreezy)
Forget everything you thought you knew about outfit inspiration, this duo are on another level. Their experimental and androgynous style is captured in street-style posts.
However, the twins don’t just dress well; they are DJ’s, producers, content creators and the founders of Coco and Breezy Eyewear, which often feature in their posts. Leather and denim along with statement accessories, a generally dark palette with an occasional pop of colour and clashing prints prove that these twins know how to express themselves in the way they dress.
Cipriana Quann and TK Wonder (@urbanbushbabes)
Defying the boundaries of the ‘All-American’ beauties, Cipriana and TK wonder use the power of social media to encourage inclusiveness – self-awareness and self-love.
Their style? Dramatic, edgy, yet still classic. Cipriana is the cofounder and Editor-in-Chief of Urban Bush Babes, a blog which supports diversity through fashion, beauty and lifestyle. TJ Wonder is executive contributor of the blog and she’s also a singer/songwriter. This duo’s style combined with their incredible hair are sure to have you scrolling to the very end of their feed.
