Are you an avid Pokémon card collector? Even if you’re not – Logan Paul’s recent live stream might make you consider it.
In celebration of Pokémon’s 25th anniversary on February 28, Logan Paul went live to open a $1 million 1st Edition Pokémon Box to his audience of 22.9 million subscribers. The stream was in partnership with Goldin Auctions – an online store for collectible cards – and also featured the founder Ken Goldin.

This is not the first time Logan Paul has unboxed an expensive Pokémon collection: last October, he unboxed a set of rare Pokémon cards for charity – and consequently raised $130,000 to support mental illness. In preparation for his Pokémon 25th anniversary live stream video, he spent $2,000,000 in order to claim the expensive first edition packs.
The 1 hour 46 minute live stream saw Paul open up a total of 36 rare cards. Most notably, he unveiled 2 Chizzard cards – each worth $350,000 – and other rare collectibles such as the Chansey, Alakazam, Raichu and Mewtwo cards. Perhaps becoming a Pokémon card collector might be worth it after all.
