Instagrammers have come onto Twitter creating the trend #instagramdown as users struggle to load their app. There has not yet been a statement released by Instagram to why the app is currently down, however users are begin to get frustrated turning to Twitter to find out what is happening and to try and get updates.

An error message which displays ‘We’re sorry, but something went wrong. Please try again’Â is appearing on majority of everyones page when searching or re-freshing feed. Although you may be able to upload a post on Instagram, followers or people who are searching for your profile may not be able to see it due to the error. Online platform DownDetector released an article saying 6000 people had reported problems with the app on Thursday.
