YouTube fans, if you weren’t at The Dubai Mall this past weekend you missed out big time.
Some of the biggest legends in gaming and social media were on stage at the DSS Gaming Challenge – including YouTube sensation KSI.
ITP Live, Dubai Summer Surprises, The Dubai Mall and PlayStation Middle East were excited to welcome gaming presenter Ahmed AL-Nasheet (@DVLZGame), artist Tareq AlHarbi (@6ar8o) on the Friday, and comedian Fahed Zounot (one half of comedy duo @punnypuntimes), DJ Bliss (@djblissdubai), entrepreneur Saygin Yalcin (@sayginyalcin) and YouTuber KSI on Saturday (@KSI).
All of the influencers came together to celebrate the end of the DSS Gaming Challenge. Winners of the Fifa and PlayLink gaming tournament had the opportunity to play against KSI himself.
The British YouTube superstar spent yesterday at the PlayStation activation in the Star Atrium, playing against fans and regional gaming influencers.
Naturally, he attracted quite the crowd, as #teamksi came down to catch the action live and cheer him on.
“My favourite game of all time has to be FIFA 12,” KSI told Shortlist Dubai, in a recent interview.
“It was the game that truly started my YouTube career. I had tons of fun with it, especially doing my Race To Division One series on it.”
KSI rose to fame in 2009, when he started uploading videos of himself gaming to YouTube.
He has over 18 million subscribers on the video-sharing platform, making his channel the 36th most popular YouTube channel on the planet.
The DSS Gaming Challenge is on until July 2, and is taking place at the Star Atrium in The Dubai Mall. Anyone is welcome to stop by and play a few games of PlayLink, FIFA World Cup 18 or Fortnite.
