Call of Duty Trailer reveals Warzone 2 battle royale and Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer

Activation hosted Call of Duty Next to showcase the first gameplay trailer for both the Call of Duty: Warzone 2 battle royale and Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer.

Thursday, Activation hosted maybe one of the most anticipated gaming presentations as the mother company revealed an explosive trailer that showed the upcoming plans for Call of Duty: Warzone 2 and the free-to-play battle Royale sequel Modern Warfare 2. 

Definitely an explosive start for Call of Duty fans as they impatiently wait for the newest features and battlefields to be available. 

The presentation trailer revealed a focus on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer, showcasing a variety of the maps that players will be able to battle it out in during the beta version and eventually during the full launch. The trailer reveal gave fans a taste of some of the new features that they will get to play with in this game, like aquatic gameplay, as well as some of the weapons and gadgets they will have access to. 

In addition to all the excitement, Call of Duty viewers saw the return of some fan favourite gadgets back like the heartbeat sensor, and more controversial abilities like the juggernaut suit will be back in the new game.

Call of Duty fans were also able to view new game modes that were featured in the Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer trailer. This includes Prisoner Rescue, where one team has to save a hostage and the other team has to stop them. We are curious to see how the Call of Duty gamers as well as the entire community react to this new mode. Fortunately, the new game modes are also featured in the Modern Warfare multiplayer beta, which is already available for PlayStation gamers.

When the trailer finished showcasing all the latest Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer experiences, it switched gears and put the attention on the Warzone 2 battle royale experience.

In the trailer, players saw Call of Duty: Warzone 2 soldiers jump out of a plane onto the battle royale map. The focus then shifted to vehicular combat, which included jeeps, helicopters, and boats. Players will have a variety of ways to counter vehicles in Warzone 2, including an explosive drone and an EMP knife.

The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 reveal trailer ended with a new look at Gunsmith. The popular Gunsmith weapon customization feature is making a big comeback in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, with players able to fully customize their weapons. Gunsmith has even more options this time around, so it will definitely be interesting to see how big of an impact it’s going to have on the meta version when moving forward.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is in development for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X which will be available from November 16.
