Cristiano Ronaldo, the Portuguese football player and one of the best players in the world, opens up in an interview with British Broadcaster Piers Morgan about football club Manchester United. The short clips that have already been shown on YouTube have sparked debates across the world pushing the video up as the top trending video on the internet right now.
Ronaldo’s “Punishment”
Having joined the club in 2021, Cristiano Ronaldo made an early exit after many disputes with Man United’s manager, Ten Hag. During the Man U and Tottenham match on Saturday, Ronaldo was seen walking off the pitch and down the tunnel before the game had ended. Consequently, due to his actions, which Ronaldo had said were in the heat of the moment, Ten Hag axed him from the Manchester United match with Chelsea.
Following Ronaldo’s “punishment,” reports were released on the football player’s exit and the truth came out on why he left the Man United squad.
The Truth Revealed
In an interview with British broadcaster Piers Morgan on his show ‘Uncensored,’ Cristiano opens up about the “betrayal” he faced with senior members of the club. He told Piers that “people should listen to the truth” and therefore why he opened up about his brutal time at Manchester United. Although the full interview is yet to be released in two parts on YouTube today and tomorrow, accusations have already been made towards Ronaldo on snippets that people have seen. Some people admire Ronaldo for telling the truth and speaking his mind, others believe he could have articulated his thoughts and feelings in a different way then doing a face-to-face interview. Before the interview release, Piers Morgan has mentioned “nothing was off limits in this interview” and therefore, we can expect deeper insights into the short conversations already shown.
From the clips that have been released as a teaser to the full interview, Ronaldo spoke on Erik Ten Hag’s progress for the club saying “the progress was 0” when he came on board. He also spoke about the lack of sympathy the Dutch Manager had towards his family tragedy of losing one of the two twins he was expecting with partner Georgina. Ronaldo told the viewers that Ten Hag almost didnt “believe” he was telling the truth when he said he would be taking time off due to his daughter being unwell. He said “nothing will ever change – the health of my family for football, never” showing the love and values he has as a family man, before being a football player or keeping up with “role model expectations” for thousands of fans.
Again, on the video that has already been released, Piers said that the treatment Ronaldo receieved from management “unsurprisingly led to the breakdown of the relationship” between the two. There seems to be many series of events that caused or ‘forced’ Ronaldo out of the club.
When to Watch
Millions of people will be glued to their screen this evening to watch part one of the video where Ronaldo will go deeper into what happened behind the scenes at Manchester United and his personal life. This is the first time Cristiano Ronaldo has spoken openly about a football club he has been with as well as the death of his son which of course, is already a sensitive and emotional conversation to have.
