YouTuber MrBeast has been taking up our home screens on YouTube, and now he’s coming for the United States National Basketball Association or NBA.

The rise of Feastables

With over 188 million subscribers on his main channel alone, MrBeast, aka Jimmy Donaldson, is one of the most popular YouTubers on the site right now. He has been entertaining his audience with challenge videos for years, which often involve him giving out generous prizes to family, friends, fans, and even strangers.

Outside of content creation, he has created his own burger chain, which is widely popular, and in January 2022, announced his biggest project at the time: Feastables. Feastables is a brand of chocolate bars, with several flavors available for people to try created by Jimmy.

Forbes estimated the popular YouTuber made a whopping $82 million in gross earnings between June 2022 and June 2023. MrBeast used that financial boost to embark on a new ambitious sports venture.

Now, the YouTuber has struck a new partnership with NBA team Charlotte Hornets, who will plaster his snack company’s logo on the team’s jerseys. He took to X to announce the new partnership, stating that Feastables is the official sponsor of the Hornets :)”.

He further elaborated that “I love Basketball so it only makes sense for Feastable’s first sponsorship to be with my home team”.

Feastables is the first creator-led brand to land a jersey sponsorship in the United States’ four major leagues. On an international scale, YouTube creator Dude Perfect is the main kit sponsor for English Premier League side Burnley’s academy teams.

“This partnership is a first of its kind, and I am excited to see how creator-brands and the NBA continue to work together into the future,” Night Media CEO Reed Duchscher says. “The Hornets are obviously one of the most exciting teams in the NBA and are a favorite among young people, so Feastables could not be more excited to partner.”

Charlotte starts its season on October 10 against the Miami Heat. It remains to be seen if the jersey will be available to purchase with the Feastables logo. Fans can keep an eye on that by checking the NBA Store website
