Currently playing for Saudi club Al Nassr, a museum in Saudi Arabia, Riyadh will display Ronaldo’s story from his struggles to his triumphs. Cristiano Ronaldo will inaugurate the museum set up in a gesture of appreciation for his career and as part of the upcoming Riyadh Season.

Opening Date

The mobile museum is due to open on October 28, and will showcase all the prices and inspiring tales of the superstar. Ronaldo joined the Riyadh-based Al Nassr under a two-and-half-year hefty contract which made global headlines.

Launched in 2019, the Riyadh Season is meant to turn the Saudi capital into a global entertainment and tourist destination. With the Cristiano Ronaldo Museum opening, it will bring in a new footfall of tourists with fans visiting it from all over the world.

We also saw a glimpse of Ronaldo’s life in his partner Georgina Rodríguez’s Netflix docu-series ‘I Am Georgina’. In the series, Ronaldo’s schedule is on the go with his dedication and passion for football shown throughout. Not only does he live and breathe football, but he also cares and loves for his family which he has built with his partner Gio.

What’s Inside the Museum

Inside the museum will feature a variety of exhibits from Ronaldo’s life and career. This includes but is not limited to interactive displays, trophies, memorabilia, and more. Those who are visiting the museum will get to see inside Ronaldo’s life and learn about his childhood upbringing as well as his rise to stardom and other achievements.

The museum is part of the Riyadh Season which is an annual entertainment festival that features incredible events including concerts, sporting events, and cultural exhibitions. This year, the festival will also most anticipated boxing match between Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou. It is a huge honour for both Saudi and Ronaldo to be able to come together and create a major event in the region.

Head of Saudi General Entertainment Authority (GEA) Turki Alasheikh said they expect 10-12 million visitors at the fourth edition of the Riyadh Season due to kick off on October 28. “We target 1 million tourists from outside the Kingdom,” he told Asharaq News. He also added that 40% of anticipated revenue from the event has already been achieved through sponsorship deals. “The opening will be historic and unprecedented. We’ll surprise the world.”
