SO, AUDIO INFLUENCERS ARE A THING

See how the rise of Clubhouse can mean opportunity for Influencers.

We’re sure you’ve come across the app named ‘Clubhouse’. But if you’re confused, Clubhouse describes itself as, “A social audio app for iOS and Android where users can communicate in audio chat rooms that accommodate groups of thousands of people.”

As Podcasts and Audio Books become popular, so does this audio social media app. Clubhouse not only lets you listen to the voice of your favorite speaker, it lets you do this live. This means, when your target speaker has logged into the app and is about to start a ‘public room’, you get notified on your phone. You can then enter this virtual room, like a round-table conference and hear them speak live. You can also invite some guests to hear what they have to say, by giving them a Clubhouse invite. Thus, this is an invite only app.

Fret not, it is not too hard to attain an invite. Anyone who uses the app can generate an invite and send you the link. Your guest has to login the app using that link, and voila! They are now officially a Clubhouse member.

This is such a great platform for Instagram content creators or Influencers to branch out into! Remember: Your talent can have ways of creating an income!

Some updates Clubhouse has made as of December 2021:

Clubhouse has snuck in one last update ahead of the holiday break, with a new ‘Saved Replays’ option which will enable users to save the audio from recorded Clubhouse chats to listen to at a later stage.

As you can see above, posted by App Researcher Jane Manchun Wong, you’ll be able to save replays for a room by tapping on the three dots menu from either the hallway or a live room, within which you’ll now see an option to ‘Save Replay’ for later. You’ll then be able to find your Saved Replays via a new share icon at the top of your profile.

But there may still be opportunity in the format, and as such, providing more usage options can only be beneficial, especially given this new process will help to extend the value of your chats.

Also, Clubhouse has also unveiled a new app display picture, with streaming Influencer Abraxas Higgins becoming the new face of the app.

Clubhouse makes way to say:

“A former Wall Street banker turned music marketing strategist turned audio influencer. In addition to being the host of Clubhouse’s beloved morning show 9AM in London, Abraxas is also the most followed person in the UK on Clubhouse and makes more money now from brand partners than he did as an investment strategist.”

See, he makes money and has influence! Maybe you can too?
