The Fresh Prince, Will Smith, returns to social media, uploading one video across all his social platforms after being silenced by fans and friends on his actions at the Oscars.
After actor Will Smith slapped Chris Rock over the face, the video went viral with everyone talking about it, creating memes, and even social media videos re-enacting the event. Of course, for Will Smith, this wasn’t comical at all. The actor had felt hurt by Chris Rock’s comments, yet immediately addressed the situation on his social accounts regarding his unethical actions.

Following his last post on the 29th of March, Will Smith returned, uploading a video once again apologising to Chris Rock, asking him to “reach out” when he felt ready to. He also apologised to Chris Rock’s mother and his own family for the hurt he had caused. For the final question Will had answered, he spoke about how he hoped his fans and those who looked up to him could forgive him and once again “be friends with him.”
The public video has received over 1 million likes on Instagram only, and over 135,000 comments already. We hope Chris Rock does reach out to Will Smith and they reconcile their relationship but a lot of respect to Will Smith for coming onto social media and addressing the situation.
