YouTube launches new Creator Safety Center 2022

The new initiative will help creators manage unwanted attention.

YouTube has introduced a new feature to their platform for influencers to avoid unwanted attention on their profile. The feature called Creator Safety Center will include helpful information including key links, helpful advice and important notes on different topics.

The platform explained “In a recent survey, we learned that while 95% of creators experienced unwanted behaviour across multiple social platforms, only 50% said they had access to resources or the necessary support to handle these interactions.”

There are different actions that YouTube have taken to make the adaptions to their application, they have teamed up with third-part experts including ConnectSafely, The Family Online Safety Institute, and the National Cybersecurity Alliance.

You will find how you can manage various problems with helpful pointers, and how you can fight online bullying, account hacks, and more. The information has been created to in a central space focusing on creators and influencers who need answers to multiple issues which keep arising on the platform.

With this new announcement, YouTube are working towards driving progression and help their audience get the most from the app. In the next few weeks, YouTube will be sharing more insights into how it will be helping the influencer and creator communities with various tools to increase potential for everyone.
