Du's Annual Charitable Initiative Continues, Commits 10,000 Volunteer Hours in Ramadan 2017

Telecomm provider du will once again be teaming up with charitable foundation Tarahum for its annual Mawaed Al Rahman initiative, uniting the community during the Holy Month, in providing underprivileged families across the UAE with essential food items for a healthy Iftar.

Marking the 10th anniversary of this caring initiave, coinciding with the Year Of Giving launched by UAE President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, du has the commited to delivering over 10,000 volunteering hours this Ramadan.

du will be hosting two activities, packing and distribution, also inviting volunteers to partake in one or both of these. Volunteers will work together to pack essential Ramadan food items into reusable, environmentally friendly boxes from May 27 to June 15 between 5pm and 12am at the Adhaaf Sports Club in Al Quoz industrial area in Dubai. The distribution initiative will begin on May 29 to June 17, as the spaces for this activity will be limited du urges volunteers to get in touch with them through http://www.du.ae/ramadan to book their place.

Last year, once again in partnership with Tarahum, the initiative with the collective efforts of over 1,000 UAE citizens and residents, contributing over 5,500 hours exceeded expectations, packing and distributing over 12,000 boxes of food items to families across Dubai and the Northern Emirates.
