Aspiring Instagram addicts take note: you can now become a fully certified social media influencer with the help of Condé Nast Italia’s Social Academy.
According to the Academy website, the course will be taught with the help of the SDA Bocconi School of Management in Milan. Its main objective will be to educate students about the correct ways to use social media. And while it might not be as, shall we say, prestigious as obtaining a law degree, students will graduate with a comprehensive understanding of how to develop themselves as influencers within the beauty and lifestyle industry. We’re sure many employers will be excited to see this skill set on a CV.
Fancy it? Then classes start on November 15th and will run for six months. By the end of next year, the course plans to churn out 100 newly-certified social influencers. Those that have completed the program will become part of Condé Nast’s prestigious network of influencers (the network currently boasts 300 members).
What are the competative requirements for enrolment? Applicants will need to be at least 19 years old and have completed high school. They also need to be enrolled in college and be able to speak English.
And before you ask, no you will not need to have previous experience with blogging. The number of followers you have on Instagram will not be evaluated during the admissions process.
