Why did Tyson Fury come off Instagram?

Gypsy King Tyson Fury quits Instagram ahead of his fight with Derek Chisora to defend his crown. The much-anticipated fight night that is soon approaching has everyone on social media talking about the event which will be going ahead on the 3rd of December at Tottenham Hotspur stadium.

The heavyweight fighter spoke about the importance of fitness in his documentary on a popular UK TV channel. He spoke about his battle with depression and having to sometimes hide away in the caravan placed in the garden to cool down when and if he needs to. His wife Paris also told the cameras that she leaves him to have his time alone and when he is ready to come back out, he will.

After finding out more about the Gyspy King and the importance of health as well as his mental state of mind, it is not shocking that he has stepped away from his Instagram account. Fury told his followers in a post ‘Im off Instagram ill see you in the real world’ followed by ‘stay blessed.’ He also put in his caption ‘Real life please’ with the prayer hand emoji and let his followers and fans know that his team will be managing his account from now on.

With the hype of his next fight, it seems as though Fury may have been caught up in all of the action online. Unlike YouTube fighters such as Logan Paul and his brother Jake Paul who thrive in social media debacles, those who separate their social media from sports do just that, separate their fight to focus because social media isn’t a priority for them as much as a fight.

Respect to Tyson Fury for wanting to focus on the fight – social media can be difficult to take, especially when there are so many opinions and trolls on the internet, it can be hard to differentiate the world of social media from reality.
