David Dobrik dropped by brands such as EA Sports, Audible, HBO, and General Mills

With multiple controversies surrounding David Dobrik, many brands such as EA Sports have begun to cut ties with the YouTuber. The recent sexual assault allegations against former Vlog Squad member, Durte Dom, is considered to be the main instigator that has caused brands to make this decision.

Dobrik apologized for his actions and acknowledged the sexual assault allegations against Durte Dom via his VIEWS podcast YouTube channel and subsequently deleted several videos as a means to rectify his actions. The deleted videos brought down his YouTube viewership by over 66 million views. The deleted videos – however- have not stopped brands from dropping Dobrik from future affiliations and collaborations.

In a statement to Business Insider, EA Sports confirmed that they have not worked with Dobrik for nearly a year and have made the decision to not work with him in the future:

“We haven’t worked with David since April 2020 and can confirm we are not currently working with him nor do we have any plans to in future. We expect any influencer or celebrity talent we work with to conduct themselves in a manner that is consistent with EA’s values and policies”.

The YouTuber is very well-known for gifting expensive cars to people on his YouTube channel through the help of brand sponsorships – which included EA Sports promotion of the Lamborghini model Evo Spyder by giving Dobrik a free car to gift to his friend Heath Hussar:

The women’s soccer team Angel City Football Club – who is known for its high-profile investors such as Serena Williams and Natalie Portman – has also removed David’s ownership rights to the team. The announcement was shared through an internal letter by Angel City Football Club President Julie Uhrman:

“I want to address the current events with one of our owners and the steps we took to ensure we live up to Who We Are. Angel City was built to lead by example, to set higher expectations, and to do the right thing, even when the right thing is hard. To that end, David Dobrik is no longer an owner of Angel City”.

Moreover, Hello Fresh, General Mills, Audible and DoorDash have also cut ties with Dobrik.

The allegations surrounding the Vlog Squad and Dobrik have led to serious consequences and are leading them to an uncertain future. Will this be the end of Dobrik’s career?
