Jason Momoa Plays "Joker" in FastX

There was something thriller-like in the latest Fast movie, and it was Jason Momoa who bought thrill, chill, and action to the Fast franchise.

As the 10th movie in the Fast and Furious collection, Fast X hit the cinemas on the 18th of May, and already grossed approximately $100M at box office.

Spoiler alert: the film is split into two parts and leaves the audience with a lot of questions. However, one of the characters in the film called Dante, played by Jason Momoa as the villan, made viewers leave the screen with fear.

The role was played fantastically by Jason Momoa and added thrill to the Fast X film. As well as the usual fast cars, exotic locations, and street parties, Dante introduced a whole new level to Fast X with his psychotic mannerisms and sinister smile.

In one of the chilling scenes, Dante talks to two dead bodies with tape gripping on to their face. One of the bodies had a terrifying taped smile, and the other with tape on his eyes wide open. His behaviour was very similar to, if not identical to Joker from Batman. There was even a part of the movie when Dante is driving in the car chasing Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel), and licks his bottom lip, similarly like the Joker.

It was something the movie had never seen before – written by Justin Lin and Dan Mazeau, and Directed by Louis Leterrier.

Many of the comments on Twitter have been positive, especially towards Jason Momoa. In contrast to Fast 9 where the characters flew into space, this film bought back the fun of car racing, the surprise of new characters and the slight comedy of the overuse of the worse “family.”

For those who have seen the movie, you may also be thinking about the unanswered questions. Questions like will they try to kill Cypher? How did Gisele survive her death? Did Han know she was still alive? Does Shaw save his mum? These questions will hopefully be answered in the part two.

Until then, we love the suspense, we love that the story continues, and we love how Paul Walker is still remembered in the movie with one of the emotional scenes and songs everyone knows.

If you have not yet seen the film (sorry for the spoiler alert), make sure you keep watching after the credits as there’s another surprise in store for you.
