Kim Kardashian debuted as Saturday Night Live’s host last night, on the 9th of October 2021. Along with musical guest @iamhalsey, it was the reality star and entrepreneur’s first time on the show. The star’s savage opening monologue, which was more of a roast, had the Internet abuzz: She made comedic jabs at herself, the whole Kardashian family, and her former husband Kanye West. (There was even an O.J. Simpson joke.)
Both fans and non-fans alike were surprised at Kardashian’s comedic chops, so much so that the hashtag #KKWonSNL began trending on Twitter today.
All of the videos she and SNL have posted have recieved beyond 5 Million views in les than 24 hours!

Her opening monologue didn’t cut anyone in her inner circle any slack, including herself.
“I know, I’m surprised to see me here too,” she said. “When they asked I was like ‘You want me to host? Why?’ I haven’t had a movie premiere in a really long time. I mean actually I only had that one movie come out and no one told me it was even premiering.” “It must have slipped my mom’s mind,” Kardashian West added.
That of course, was a reference to how the now infamous sex tape she made with then boyfriend singer/actor Ray J which leaked in 2007.
Kardashan West said she “married the best rapper of all time” and called him both the “richest Black man in America” and “a talented, legit genius who gave me four incredible kids.” “So, when I divorced him you had to know it came down to one thing — his personality,” she joked.
She also threw some shade at SNL’s rating; comparing her 360 Million followers to an estimated 10 Million SNL viewers as a “quiet night in.”

During the sketches, We get to see Kim mock her own company by introducing Skims for Dogs. Joking that She’s introducing “Skim shapewear for thick dogs” and that it would be available for all dogs “no matter how big their butt is.”
