Temperatures in the UAE have reached heights of nearly 50 degrees and everyone has been given precautions to stay hydrated. Indian actor Raqesh Bapat was unfortunately rushed to hospital after suffering from a heat stroke outdoors in the UAE heat, and he updated his fans on his recovery.
Having been sent straight to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), the actor had been filming in Dubai and posting his daily activities on social media. However, it was only a few days ago, Raqesh had posted a completely different post from his usual outdoor antics, and it was a drip in his hand on a hospital bed.
The Indian actor shared an image with his 1.2 million Instagram followers that he had been admitted to ICU. He later posted a video on his stories, explaining what had happened and how he felt when he had the stroke. Raqesh said he felt a high fever and chills, and that his blood pressure was critical. He requested that his fans remember him in their prayers and said that he hopes to get back to work soon but that he was in ‘safe hands’ with care in Dubai.
For those who are planning a trip to the UAE or who currently reside in the UAE, please take measures in ensuring you are hydrated at all times. If you are working outdoors or traveling from different places throughout the day, take a bottle of water with you in your bag. The temperatures are already high, and with the added humidity, it feels over 50 degrees.
