Olivia Rodrigo releases ‘GUTS’
Actress, singer, and songwriter Olivia Rodrigo released her sophomore album, ‘GUTS’ on September 8 and took social media by storm once again. Lead single ‘Vampire’ debuted atop the Billboard Hot 100 list, and remains in the top 10 more than a month after its release. Olivia’s fans also stay on top of TikTok, using her many audios to start trends and make transitions.

The 20-year-old Grammy winner performed ‘Vampire’ and her latest single ‘Get Him Back!’ at the Video Music Awards Tuesday night, where she won the best editing category for ‘Vampire’.
Rodrigo rose to overnight fame in 2021 after she released her debut single, ‘Driver’s License’. The single discusses universal themes of heartbreak and loss, that any person in Olivia’s age bracket would understand. She’s often praised for being a relatable Gen-Z pop artist, whose better able to connect to a younger audience.
The song debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, following a record-breaking first week across streaming services such as Spotify.
‘GUTS’ world tour
Olivia announced on Wednesday that she will take her second album, ‘GUTS’, on a world tour. The tour will kick off in Palm Springs, California, in February 2024 and travel across North America and Europe before it wraps up in her hometown, Los Angeles, in August.
Her first tour for the subsequent record-breaking album, ‘Sour’ was limited to smaller concert venues, and the result was rowdy but intimate. For her second tour, Rodrigo will play large arenas, including Madison Square Garden in New York.
The GUTS World Tour will feature an all-women opening act line-up: The Breeders, Chappell Roan, PinkPantheress, and Remi Wolf.

In her announcement, Rodrigo directed fans to her official website to register for tickets. Within 15 minutes, the site crashed. Fans took to social media platform X to express their discontent, saying the website would not load to register.
Registration for tickets is available until Sunday, and more dates are yet to be announced. Either way, we know for sure Olivia Rodrigo is going to take the world by storm again this year.
