Exciting times for Facebook Watch.

Juanpa Zurita (@eljuanpazurita) and Nabela Noor (@nabela) have just dropped trailers for their eight-episode shows on Facebook Watch, backed by digital media company Attn.

Juanpa is well known for his comedic skits on Instagram and YouTube that display aspects of his Mexican heritage, and his new show ‘Know Sé’ follows a similar thread.

Meaning “know yourself”, his show explores less widely-known Latin American traditions, myths and cultural practices.

He also aims to show how the cultures of the United States and Mexico are best when they are harmonious.

This is certainly an important message in a time of political conflict between the two nations, and would help to bridge the cultural gap.

Nabela uses her platform to create a new image for the previously marginalised communities, such as people of colour, Muslims and plus-sized women.

She is famous for her beauty videos that show that no matter where you’re from, or what your weight you can always shine.

One of my favorite quotes that carried me through my teen years into adulthood is: “Why are you trying so hard to fit in, when you were born to stand out?” ⁣ ⁣ For the longest time, all I wanted in life was to blend in and not be different. I was embarrassed by all of the things that made me ME. ⁣ ⁣ My life completely changed when I stopped apologizing for being different. ⁣ ⁣ My life truly began when I embraced my identity. ⁣ ⁣ Since then, it has been my mission and purpose to help others liberate themselves from insecurity and self-doubt and begin truly living - unapologetically.⁣ ⁣ When I find brands and initiatives who share the same passion for empowerment, I get excited to work together to spread a message that is way more important than any beauty or fashion trend... and that message is that who you are, as you are, RIGHT NOW may be pretty different or pretty bold or pretty weird and you know what? ⁣ ⁣ That’s pretty damn amazing. ⁣ ⁣ #PrettyDifferent #UDPartner⁣ ⁣ Shoutout to @urbandecaycosmetics for launching this incredible initiative.

Her new show, ‘Can I Borrow That?’, emphasises diversity as she gives beauty tutorials and explains the cultural origins that have inspired today’s trends.

Both of these are bound to be great shows, and are sure to help raise awareness about different cultures across the world.

New episodes air every Friday on Facebook Watch!
