Upon hearing a woman’s talent being recognised over her physical identity – I eagerly took the opportunity to know more about her. Emirati Trailblazer and Flatlay Artist – Fatma Hilal is not just a TikTok Superstart, but she is also a Photographer, and Designer. With over 1 Million likes and 1 Million views, her videos are styled to perfection. She has earned her following over pure skill and hard work. Fatma has worked with global luxury brands that include, Manolo Blahnik, Bulgari, Chloe, YSL Beauty, Prada and many more.
She says, “I was so overwhelmed when I achieved my first 1 Million views on my video and 100k followers on TikTok without going live. This makes me so happy and grateful, – especially when you are able to reach the right audience that supports you for the right things. I am happy that through my work, I am able to share good energy with people and this in return motivates me to work on something they love. When my content is viewed by my audience I feel very motivated.” A true form of woman empowerment.

She takes us through a quick round-up of how to make a flatlay like the one pictured above. Read below –
“Step 1 – For this shoot you will need pink paper bigger than an 1A size.. You can find it easily in school supplement stores. The lighting will be daylight. You should ideally get your lighting from the big window and start shooting from around 9 AM until 11 AM.

Step 2 – Buy another pink paper in size A4 if you couldn’t find an A3. Then get the bigger size and cut it like the way I do.. I added white marble, you can add a pink/ white plate if you don’t have one.

Step 3 – Then add your gadgets… the one you like. For example I’ve added some AirPods, a mouse, a keyboard and picked a colour scheme.

Step 4 – I have added macarons because it always presents me in my flatlays.

Step 5 – You can add paper pins, makeup products, facial rollers, etc – use everything pink to match your flatlay. Then I added flowers… I chose pink flowers to give a little feminine touch to the flatlay.. flowers are optional in this stage.

Step 6 – Then the final touch is the iPad. I’ve used this exclusively for Itp.live to reflect their brand.

Step 8 – Download the Lightroom app on your phone. Perform these instructed settings on the app for the perfect tint.

Step 9 – Voila! Done. You have a hi-res image on your phone which can be posted on different social media platforms.
