In a move that puts their customers at the forefront of their data decisions, Telecom operator du, has introduced their Start Stop data service allowing users to surf the web and of course, use their favorite social media applications, at the cost of 2 fils/minute, at a maximum of 1 Mbps.
If interested, prepaid customers can dial *555# to start and stop their data sessions and need to have enough More Time credit or Out Of Credit Balance. Once activated, there is a minimum charge of 30 fils for the first 15 minutes of usage. After that, it will be 2 fils per minute. Each session can last for a maximum of four hours.
In describing the update, Chief Commercial Officer, Fahad Al Hasawi stated “We wanted to offer more transparency to our customers and give them more control over their data usage. Introducing a pay per minute scheme for data usage enables us to further address our customers’ wants and needs, and to deliver on our promise of always adding life to life,”Â
