In an event that has been dubbed a “global phenomenon”, Mike Tyson will be taking on Roy Jones Jr. in an exhibition bout live on the Triller app, broadcast to over 130 million active subscribers in over 175 countries. Every media outlet across the world will continue to report on the event leading up to the event on the 28th of November.
Roy Jones Jr is a 4 Division world champion, has held a record of 7 belts at once, and has been named “Fighter of the Decade” by the Boxing Writers Association of America. He will, as mentioned above, be challenging Mike Tyson, undisputed heavyweight champion from 1987-1990. This appears to be the fight of a lifetime, exclusive to Triller subscribers.
The co-main event features 2 Division world champion Badou Jack “The Ripper”, who, as a philanthropist as well, will be donating all proceeds from this event to the Badou Jack Foundation, to provide housing, nutrition, medical supplies and education for orphaned and refugee children across the world. Badou is also the only fighter in boxing history to fight 8 world champions back to back.
“Mike Tyson & Roy Jones are legends in this sport & it’s an honor to share this stage with them. It will be an exciting night for boxing and I’m proud to be able to donate the proceeds of my fight to the Badou Jack Foundation and continue to give kids across the globe a fighting chance in life.”
