Entertainment has arguably been the hardest-hit industry in the wake of the pandemic. Despite this, the entertainment industry continues to come up with creative ways to reach a wide, global audience.
David Guetta, a popular french DJ with over 50 million record sales and 10 billion total streams, is one recent example of a musician whose had to transition from live to digital performances due to Covid-19. This past Saturday, David Guetta streamed on his Youtube channel a free, live performance titled ‘David Guetta | United at Home – Dubai Edition’ atop Dubai’s Burj Al Arab Jumeirah.Â
The French Muscian’s goal was to support two charities, UNICEF’s work for children and Dubai Cares’ campaign ‘Education Uninterrupted’, in a bid to help students and teachers with remote video learning, which has become the new-normal for education in the age of Covid.
