TikTok Stars Nessa Barrett and Jaden Hossler Perform Their Latest Single on the Ellen Degeneres Show

TikTok stars Nessa Barrett and Jaden Hossler performed their latest hit single ‘la di die’ on The Ellen Degeneres Show. Barrett initially released the music video for the song in February – which has gained 18 million views since its launch.

After their debut performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the duo were invited to The Ellen Degeneres Show to sing their new single – which was performed in collaboration with Blink 182’s drummer Travis Barker. Barrett and Hossler dawned all white outfits for the show – with a blue and pink fog surrounding them:

Barrett – who is 18 years old – rose to prominence in 2019 after posting dance routines and viral lip-sync videos on TikTok – where she has gained an overall audience of 10.3 million followers and has 406.8 million likes. She was soon recognized and signed by LA based talent agency Talent X – whose clientele include the popular TikTok content creator group Sway House.

In an interview with Variety, Barrett revealed that she always wanted to be a singer and that TikTok helped her build a career as a music artist. Since gaining popularity on TikTok, Barrett has produced songs such as ‘Pain’ and ‘If U Love Me’ – which were released in 2020:

“I never really went into social media wanting to be a social media influencer if that makes sense. While I was gaining a huge following and posting often, I never wanted it to be my job and I never really took it full force. And so as soon as I made the decision that I was 100% following my dream of doing music all the way, I started to find myself.”

Barrett and Hossler’s latest song has been nominated for The Social Star Award at the 2021 iHeartRadio Music Awards. The Duo are up against other TikTok nominees such as Dixie D’Amelio and Olivia Rodrigo.

The 2021 iHeartRadio Music Awards is scheduled to premiere on May 27. Who do you think will win?
