Last week, 95-year-old Queen Elizabeth was given a deep pink rose that was created in honor of her late husband Prince Philip‘s 100th birthday. That rose was then planted in at the East Terrace Garden at Windsor Castle, which Prince Philip helped transform.
“Whilst being very poignant, it was a delight to give Her Majesty The Queen… the Duke of Edinburgh Rose to mark what would have been (his) 100th birthday and to remember his remarkable life,” said Keith Weed, President of the Royal Horticultural Society.
The Royal Family Twitter account shared memories of the late Prince Phillip.
