Twitter to soon launch a new ‘Subscribe’ feature for Revue Creators

Twitter has announced an upcoming feature ‘Subscribe’ that will be featured on Revue creators’ profiles. The new feature will help creators easily reach their target audience with a simple click.

Twitter’s Revue shared the announcement on Twitter stating that the option focuses on helping creators better build their careers on the platform:

“We want to give writers tools to turn their growing, engaged Twitter audience into newsletter subscribers. This will be available for Revue newsletters soon, so stay tuned.”

Twitter earlier acquired the newsletter platform Revue in January to help creators publish and monetize their newsletters. Digital creators can create free or paid newsletters to generate revenue with Twitter taking 5%:

“With a robust community of writers and readers, Twitter is uniquely positioned to help organizations and writers grow their readership faster and at a much larger scale than anywhere else. Many established writers and publishers have built their brand on Twitter, amassing an audience that’s hungry for the next article or perspective they Tweet. Our goal is to make it easy for them to connect with their subscribers, while also helping readers better discover writers and their content. We’re imagining a lot of ways to do this, from allowing people to sign up for newsletters from their favorite follows on Twitter, to new settings for writers to host conversations with their subscribers. It will all work seamlessly within Twitter.”

A Twitter spokesperson revealed that users who have access to Revue newsletters can enable the Subscribe feature in the Revue platform itself. Although Twitter hasn’t shared the exact launch date, the feature will first roll out across web and Android users and eventually to iOS users.
