YouTube and Hollywood Park have announced their partnership to host a 6,000-seat and 300-acre “YouTube Theater”. The theater will be located at the Hollywood Park sports and entertainment complex in Inglewood, California.
Angela Courtin, VP of Brand Marketing at YouTube, revealed that the YouTube Theater would help content creators to interact with their fans:
“YouTube Theater will drive the uniqueness of YouTube by combining physical, ‘in real life’ events that bring creators and fans together, while simultaneously sharing that same event experience with our two billion global monthly users through livestreams and VOD content. YouTube creators and artists are the heart of YouTube and YouTube Theater adds to the portfolio of opportunities to drive their creativity, build their businesses, grow their communities and so much more.”
The theater is set to open by summer to host a series of concerts, stand-up comedy, esports competitions, award shows, conferences and other live events. The musicians that will be featuring at YouTube Theater include Louis Tomlinson, Pitbull, Los Angeles Azules, Black Pumas, Trippie Redd, Alejandro Sanz, Christian Nodal, and Marina.
