Meet Meera Sultan – is an Emirati women from the United Arab Emirates who has a collection of 70 vintage gaming consoles. In an interview with Cosmopolitan ME, she talks about how she developed a passion for collecting these.
She says,“It initially started off with me keeping some old school handhelds that held sentimental value”. “I have a habit of replaying old games. In retrospect, it also reminds me of the simpler days and all the good memories I had when playing them.”
“I’m extremely nostalgic, I always catch myself buying old school stuff that sparks good memories for me, and games are one of them. I like understanding why things are the way they are now, there’s a story behind it.”

She says, “I also personally enjoy being on the hunt for rare items – even if they’re not actual consoles or games, but something related to them,” Meera adds. “I recently got my hands on a rare Pokemon card in mint condition. A personal favorite memory of the 90’s while growing up!”
