Bollywood’s most anticipated wedding

This wedding has caused some serious anticipation over the internet – so much so that big names in the Bollywood industry had already tweeted about their wedding before it even took place. Memes and headlines were out in circulation before the stars confirmed this news over their accounts.

Yes, we’re talking about none other than Bollywood heart-throbs Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif.

The stars got married at a luxury resort near Sawai Madhopur in Rajasthan with only a selected gathering present at the event.

“Only love and gratitude in our hearts for everything that brought us to this moment,” Katrina took to her Instagram. “Seeking all your love and blessings as we begin this new journey together.”

Vicky too had a similar message on his Instagram page, signalling that this was planned from before!

Bollywood celebrities responded on social media to this event. Salman Khan’s sister Arpita Khan Sharma, who also happens to be a close friend of Katrina’s wished her ‘a lifetime of happiness’.

Vicky and Katrina reportedly asked all attendees to follow a no-phone policy. Some reports claim that guests were also given code names to maintain secrecy, according to Hindustan Times.

Until now, Vicky and Katrina were secretive about their relationship. During an appearance on Koffee With Karan in 2018, she said they ‘might look nice together’ on screen. When Vicky was told about Katrina’s comment during his episode, he pretended to faint.

Deepika Padukone commented, “Congratulating the newlyweds. Wishing you both a lifetime of love, laughter, loyalty, respect and companionship!” Followed by Priyanka Chopra who wrote, “So happy for you! Mere yaar ki shaadi hai! Congratulations both of you! Ure perfect together”

Several other stars including Twinkle Khanna and Sonam Kapoor also wished the couple on their Instagram pages. Among those at the wedding were Malavika Mohanan, Sharvari Wagh, Radhika Madan, Kabir Khan, Mini Mathur and Gurdas Maan. Katrina’s close friend Salman Khan and his family skipped the celebrations, he is in Riyadh for the Da-Bangg The Tour Reloaded – which will take place on Friday, reports Hindustan Times.
