Twitter is taking a page out of Facebook and Instagram’s playbook. The micro-blogging platform has rolled out a new feature that allows users to “bookmark” other users’ tweets.
Twitter fans can now save other users’ tweets in a “private list” to read or retweet at a later time.
Considering many people use the platform to stay up-to-date on current affairs, this is excellent news for those of us that don’t always have time to read a full article someone has tweeted – and don’t necessarily want to repost it in our feeds.
So… how do you bookmark a tweet? Simple.
The bookmark button is located to the right of the “Like” button on all tweets. All users have to do is tap on it, and select “Add Tweet to Bookmarks” if they want to save the post for later. They can then view their bookmarks by tapping on their profile icon in the top left corner of the app.
It makes sense that Twitter is now letting users save tweets, as other social media platforms (i.e. Instagram and Facebook) have similar features.
