Instagram Has Changed Its Algorithm Again

It isn’t going back to “normal”, but it will be better than before…

Instagram Has Changed Its Algorithm Again

Good news for Insta fans – especially for those of you that hate the algorithm.

On Thursday the photo-sharing app announced it’s changing its elusive Instagram algorithm yet again.

But don’t be worried, this time it’s (supposedly) for the better.

Ever since Instagram first updated its feed in 2016 to showcase posts it thinks users will want to see, Instagrammers have been expressed their frustrations online. Throughout the past few years, many users have demanded the app to change its feed back to chronological order. But the Facebook-owned photo-sharing app hasn’t budged on disgruntled users’ demands, until now…

“Based on your feedback, we’re . . . making changes to ensure that newer posts are more likely to appear first in feed. With these changes, your feed will feel more fresh, and you won’t miss the moments you care about. So if your best friend shares a selfie from her vacation in Australia, it will be waiting for you when you wake up,” Instagram said, in a statement on its website.

The app is also testing a “New Posts” button that lets users choose when they want to refresh their feeds, rather than it happening automatically.

While some fans might be happy…

…others are a bit skeptical.

Hmm… we guess time will tell whether the new algorithm update will be a good
