Shopaholics, you might want to delete your Instagram app…
Instagram announced yesterday that it will be rolling out shoppable tags within its Stories feature very soon.
Whaaat???
That’s right you’ll soon be able to shop some of your favourite brands – like Louis Vuitton and Adidas – within your Insta stories. The feature has been available within Instagram’s feed for a while now, so it makes sense that shoppable stories are now happening on the photo-sharing app.
“Shoppers on Instagram are savvy. They visit Instagram looking for the latest trends and styles. With 300M using Instagram Stories everyday, people are increasingly finding new products from brands they love,” Instagram said in a blog post.
All users need to do is keep an eye out for a shopping bag icon when watching their friends’ stories,
“When you see a sticker with a shopping bag icon tap on it to see more details about that product,” Instagram said.
As of now only a small number of brands are shoppable within Instagram’s stories feature, but expect more to come soon.
