Exciting times for football fans in the UAE.

The Dubai Globe Soccer Awards will be taking place on Sunday, Dec 29 in Dubai.

Some of the biggest names in professional football will take to the stage to accept awards like “Best Player of the Year” and “Best Club of The Year” at the prestigious awards ceremony.

The hotly-anticipated Best Men’s Player of the Year award has been shortlisted to four players – Juventus F.C.’s Cristiano Ronaldo, FC Barcelona’s Lionel Messi, Liverpool F.C.’s Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah.

Joao Felix from Spanish club Atlético Madrid, nominated for Best Revelation Player, will be in attendance along with football legends Ryan Giggs and Miralem Pjanic.

For the first time in the award’s history, Globe Soccer has also included three new categories in recognition of the world’s best female football talent: Best Women’s Player of the Year, Best Club of the Year and Best Referee of the Year.
Joining guests during the evening will be English football star Lucy Bronze, who led French club Olympique Lyonnais to victory in the Women’s Champions League earlier this year. Bronze is also nominated as the Best Women’s Player of the Year.

Former Manchester United player Mikael Silvestre, Sara Gama from Juventus F.C., Amandine Henry from Olympique Lyonnaise, French referee Stephanie Frappart, Romelu Lukaku from Inter Milan, Didier Deschamps, the French national team manager, Simone Inzaghi, SS Lazio coach, Fabio Capello and Pierluigi Collina are also confirmed to attend.
Abderazak Hamdallah, a striker for Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nassr FC and a host of other international football players, coaches and managers will also be part of the star-studded guest list later this month.

The Dubai Globe Soccer Awards is one of the major professional football award ceremonies in the world, along with the Ballon d’Or and The Best FIFA Football Awards.
