TikTok Reworks Their Feeds Layout

Apparently, this is just a test…

TikTok Reworks Their Feeds Layout

TikTok and Instagram are constantly in a situation wherein one does a thing and the other has to jump on and do it their way…ish.

To add onto the procedure TikTok is testing a user profile redesign which is somewhat like *drumrolls* Instagram. The update shifts avatars and follow count to your left, and emphasis are on user bios.

As seen below reporter Taylor Lorenz from New York Times who spotted the update and tweeted.

A TikTok spokesperson confirmed the company was testing a redesign to The Verge: ”We’re always looking for ways to improve the user experience on TikTok. We are currently testing profile designs and functionality to ultimately give users more ways to personalize and engage with their profiles”

TikTok may just be constantly borrowing ideas and features from their competitors. Instagram is not staying behind in borrowing ideas, as they are currently testing a video editing tool in Brazil called Reels. Reels, in turn, copies TikTok’s best features like speed adjustment and the ability to borrow audio from other videos.

TikTok has beat Facebook and Instagram by being the the fast-growing app, which shows a great amount of growth in terms of TikTok.

If you think about it, why would you buy 2 things that look identical, similarly Instagram-like profile design to all its users, it could be the start of all social networks feeling exactly the same — especially if Instagram decides to copy the best parts of TikTok.
