Amidst the global Coronavirus pandemic, celebrities have taken to social media, while in quarantine, to connect with their fans and followers around the world.
Charles Porch, Instagram’s head of global partnerships, told NBC News that celebrity streaming shows on the platform will become more frequent in the coming days and weeks.
He continued, “”I think in times like this, and when times get tough, [celebrities are] turning to Instagram to connect with fans to, first, help get out really good information like washing your hands and staying home and the next phase now, which is coming together with the community.”
Recently, Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra took to Instagram to wish their followers well and send love to all during their time in isolation.
Similarly, Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato’s fans witnessed their public reconciliation live as they spoke about their notorious friendship as they apologized to each other for being distant.

Meanwhile, the unofficial Queen of social media Chrissy Teigen brought her husband John Legend in on the action as they entertained their fans by singing along to ‘Quit Playing Games’ by the Backstreet Boys and another Mariah Carey tune while cooking chicken livers. Totally normal.
