The Dubai Culture & Arts Authority together with Art Dubai Group has today enlisted the help of the public, asking for opinions and solutions to tackle the economic effects brought on to the local cultural industry.
The website for the programme explains, “In response to the immediate challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Dubai Culture and Arts Authority working with the Art Dubai Group, is calling for collective action to ideate possible solutions to support the cultural industries.”
Undoubtedly, the cultural and arts sectors have been hit amid the global pandemic, as cultural events, shows and gatherings have all been brought to a halt for the foreseeable future.
Therefore, this programme aims at finding solutions and relief for freelancers, artists and small business owners who have been negatively impacted during this time.
Who can take part?
Everyone is invited to brainstorm and submit ideas and look into potential solutions to address these issues.
As per the website, “The identified challenges address issues related to human capital, financial stability, business partnerships, business continuity, cultural value chain and sustained creative production.”
