Celebrities had a lot to say about Kanye’s presidential announcement

In 2015, Kanye gave the public a heads up that he would run for president in 2020. On July 5th, Kanye West tweeted that he is officially running for the position of the president of the United States of America and celebs had a lot to say about it.

Kim Kardashian West, Kanye’s wife, Elon Musk, and rapper, Ty Dolla $ign were all supporters of Kanye’s announcement. Musk claimed to endorse Kanye’s presidential campaign.

A few tweets later, Elon Musk retracted his support after learning about some of Kanye’s views oppose his own views.  Musk tweeted “we may have more differences of opinion than I anticipated!”

More people had a lot to say about Kanye, many of them took the opportunity to sarcastically add their names to the people running including Paris Hilton, Tiffany Haddish and Bob Saget.

Perez Hilton replied to Kanye’s tweet with a gif saying any publicity is good publicity. Actor, Octavia Spencer, wrote “It’s obvious that some people live in a bubble. It’s about time to burst it. #2020vision.”

Overall, celebrities are not on the same page as Kanye West and definitely prefer he stays in the music industry rather than moving into politics.
