1. Diwali Dhamaka Festival
Returning for its 3rd season, the Diwali Dhamaka Festival is the talk of the town for things to do this weekend. The festival will be celebrated on Saturday and Sunday from 4-12am with live performances from Bollywood mega-stars as well as delicious food stalls, clothing, traditional drummers, gift hampers, and more all in the center of Souk al Marfa, Dubai Islands. Mingle with over 15,000 people who are expected to show up to celebrate the Indian culture authentically with the locals.
2. Diwali Festival at BurJuman Mall
If you’re looking for something to do indoors, then visit BurJuman Mall to get into the festival spirit and find beautiful decor to decorate your home with. There are also some big prizes that you can win if you spend 250 aed, so go and check it out!
3. Dubai City Festival & The Pointe, Palm Jumeriah Fireworks
Who doesn’t love a good firework display? Dubai is known for having the biggest and best firework displays so make sure you go early and get your picture-perfect spot at Dubai City Festival or The Pointe, Palm Jumeriah. Playing to its name the “Festival of Lights,” Dubai will really be filling the skies with colour this weekend.
4. Nabeel Khan at ToDA
For a relaxed evening with the family, why not go and see Nabeel Sarangi perform live at the Theatre of Digital Art? Nabeel will capture your heart with the beautiful sounds of his Sarangi instrument bringing traditional, Indian music to life in Dubai. Feel as though you are sitting in a Bollywood movie as you are immersed in a 360-degree projection as well as mesmerised by the Sarangi and Tabla.
5. Celebrate Diwali at Oasis Mall
Diwali is all about singing, dancing, and eating and that is exactly what you will be doing at Oasis Mall from the 14-24th October for their special Diwali event. Here, you can also enter competitions to win some huge prizes as well as enjoy dances and workshops with your friends and family.
6. Diwali Brunch at CODA
If you’re looking to go out then we’ve got you covered. There are loads of brunches happening this weekend for Diwali but Coda will be the place to be as well-known UK radio DJ – DJ Limelight – will be hosting his first event in Dubai alongside DJ Simz. DJ Simz made her mark showing her dj’ing skills on the social media platform TikTok, and now with 230.7K followers, she is most wanted at every event around the world.
