LEGO Mario and LEGO Luigi can now be played in two-player mode

The LEGO Group are set to launch their two-player mode with LEGO Mario and LEGO Luigi, four Expansion sets, two Power-Up Packs and ten Character Packs. The latest extension of the 2-player mode features a new and exciting game of battling enemies to complete challenges, earn rewards and many more.

Simon Kent – Creative Lead at LEGO Super Mario – shared the announcement of the upcoming bluetooth-enabled two player mode and the most-awaited Adventures with Luigi Starter Course:

“For us it’s all about encouraging continuous creative rebuilding and extended playtime. With today’s announcement, we’re not only bringing LEGO Mario and LEGO Luigi, their friends and enemies to life in new interactive ways for endless fun, we’re also thrilled to expand their play experience and the LEGO Super Mario universe with even more new sets and characters, something we really hope will excite fans.”

The four expansion sets include the Bowser’s Airship Expansion Set, Boss Sumo Bro Topple Tower Expansion Set, Lakitu Sky World Expansion Set, and Reznor Knockdown Expansion Set. The Bowser’s Airship Expansion set comes with 1,152-pieces and comprises a ship set available in flying mode or in course mode, Kamek, Rocky Wrench, Goomba figures, POW Block and a Cannon Start Pipe.

The Adventures with Luigi Starter Course and Bowser’s Airship Expansion set are currently available for pre-order and will be released on August 1.
