Twitch is a video streaming service famous for being home to countless communities but dominated by the video game streaming world. Twitch streamers often find odd ways to make a spectacle of themselves and cause controversy! Let’s take a look at the top 5 most controversial streamers…
5) Anything4Views
This gamer lived up to his username as he was eventually banned from Twitch for his extreme behaviors. Also known as Chad Roberts, Anything4Views got himself officially removed after going on an highly offensive rant while streaming, causing Twitch to finally ban the streamer for life from the platform.
4) Fareeha
This streamer was famous for her Overwatch and Fornite streams and well known across those communities. During one of her plays, she began saying offensive things to her South American opponents, resulting in many people being upset. She later issued an apology however failed to win over much of the gaming community once again.
3) TF Blade (Top Streamer)
Being one of the most recognized OverWatch and #1 League of Legend players, TF Blade was first banned in 2019 and claims that the ban was unjust as he was misheard saying a racist comment when he in fact did not. This caused controversies across twitter, and though he was only gone for a week, he was later banned indefinitely and still can’t quite figure out why.
2) Disguised Toast
Originally gaining lots of traction during the AmongUs craze, Jeremy Wang is a well-known and mostly uncontroversial figure in the streaming world. So when news came that he got banned, his viewers were naturally surprised and curious as to what happened. Twitch claims that it was not something he said during stream but rather was watching or looking up on the service that violated their community guidelines. The public is still unaware of what happened to this day other than the situation’s connection to anime.
1) Dr. Disrespect
Just as in the name, Dr. Disrespect was famous for being a hilarious but very controversial streamer for entertainment. He did manage to cross the lines at a gaming convention when he streamed a public bathroom on Twitch, violating their privacy rules. Dr. Disrespect’s fans did not waive though, beginning the hashtag #freedrdisrespect to show their support for him while this made others quite upset.
