USHER’S NEW ALBUM DROP!

Prepare to be swept off your feet as Usher prepares for a stunning return. Eight years after his previous studio album, Hard II Love, the singer is preparing to unveil a new project, which fans are eagerly anticipating. Fans are looking forward to the singer’s next album as well as his Super Bowl LVIII Halftime appearance.

Fans are excited to hear Usher’s new songs, considering this is his first album in eight years. In October 2023, he released the single “Good Good” with Summer Walker and 21 Savage, which peaked at number 10 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.

Given that his previous album, Hard Will Love (2016), landed at No.5 on the Billboard 200 and topped the R&B Album charts, it’s safe to assume that fans will expect nothing less from the singer who made his debut in the mid-1990s.

Usher has also won numerous awards for his work as a singer and performer, including recognition from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and lucrative residencies in Las Vegas and Paris.

However, this is not by chance. Usher juggles performance, planning, singing, being a parent to four children, remaining present, and much more, as detailed in his Vogue cover story for January 2024. “I know that it’s going to be the hardest time of my life,” he told reporters. “Even when you see the artwork, you will understand it. When you see the peach. You get it. You understand where I’m from and what we’re doing.”

WHAT IS COMING HOME‘S TRACKLIST?

Coming Home has 20 tracks, including his singles “Good Good,” “Risk It All” with H.E.R, and “Standing Next To You,” a remix of K-pop artist Jung Kook’s breakthrough tune. On January 19, it was confirmed that Latto would also be a featured artist on Coming Home. With these significant appearances, it appears that Coming Home will be the R&B album of 2024!

WHEN WILL COMING HOME BE RELEASED?

It was first revealed in September 2023 that Usher’s ninth studio album would be released on February 11, the same day he is scheduled to host the Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. However, on January 20, the “My Boo” singer announced on Twitter that Coming Home would be published two days before his Halftime Show performance.

WILL THERE BE A COMING HOME TOUR?

Though there have been no announcements about a Coming Home tour, fans are thrilled that Usher will sing at the 2024 Super Bowl. “It’s an honor of a lifetime to finally cross a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list. “I can’t wait to give the world a show unlike anything they’ve ever seen from me,” the singer told Entertainment Weekly in September 2023.

Usher outlined his vision for the big Halftime Show, which will have an R&B soul unlike any other. “This night was specifically curated in my mind to have R&B take the main stage,” he said. “Not just R&B music, but R&B performance, R&B connection, R&B spirit.”

Many fans have been showering Usher with roses for years for being one of the top R&B singers and entertainers in the industry, and they have no qualms about bumping to his nostalgic songs from Confessions, probably his best album yet.
