Love is Blind has just wrapped up another season, and the drama continues with the Netflix reunion special where contestants share some shocking revelations.

All about the Love is Blind season 5 reunion
Season 5 has come to an end over the weekend, and featured the fewest couples who made it to the altar in franchise history. However, certain couples still shined through.
Lydia and Milton connected early in the pods, bonding over their love of rocks. Despite their seven-year age gap, Lydia eventually began to admire his stable maturity. They worked past some issues involving Uche and quickly got engaged. They later tied the knot, and the pair are still happily married. The couple even held a second wedding in Lydia’s hometown in Puerto Rico.
It seems that Izzy’s rocky start in the love triangle with Johnie, and Stacy was foreshadowing their future relationship. Izzy and Stacy got engaged quickly and even had a wedding. Several fights came up, some regarding Izzy’s debt and bad finances, but the couple pushed through. At the reunion, Stacy and Izzy reveal that they ended things a week after the wedding and that they didn’t speak for a year after. They eventually reconciled, but ultimately decided to go their separate ways on good terms.
Johnie and Chris, and Taylor and JP, are not together anymore either, with all of the contestants dating someone new. Taylor and JP’s relationship was entirely different from what it had been in the pods, and she didn’t want to continue it, so the pair broke things off. Johnie and Chris did not have an engagement, so it’s no surprise things didn’t work out for them.
However, the couple with the most tumultuous time on the show was Aaliyah and Uche. This past association with Lydia affected their relationship. Aaliyah began to have doubts about Uche, and she decided to leave the pods, leaving him alone and clueless on Love is Blind Season 5’s engagement day.
So why wasn’t Uche at the reunion?
In the real world, Aaliyah and Uche reconnected after she left Love is Blind’s pods to see if things could work out between them. Unfortunately, they didn’t, and the couple called things quits once again.
During the reunion, which aired on 15 October, Aaliyah shared these details of their relationship, yet, Uche was nowhere to be seen.
Hosts Nick and Vanessa Lachey revealed that Uche was invited to the reunion and “chose not to be a part” of it. So, why didn’t Uche attend?
On his Instagram, he shared that he had a speaking engagement abroad meaning he couldn’t attend. “I had a speaking engagement in Mexico that conflicted with the reunion,” he wrote.
On October 15, the fellow contestants revealed they aren’t the biggest fans of Uche with both Izzy and Milton saying they don’t consider him a friend. Considering everything, it’s clear why Uche skipped the Love is Blind reunion.
